A former CNN correspondent, Maria Ressa, gave a short talk
at our office's conference room earlier about news reporting and
the media as a whole, and it was highly fascinating. I really learned a lot.
She now works for ABS-CBN and she talked a little bit about her plans
for the network, which are things to really look forward to.

Anyway, after the talk, the people went over to her and
congratulated her about her book (because she just had one
recently published), wishing her luck about her new plans for ABS-CBN...
etc. etc.... but when I approached her, I said: "I really love
Christiane Amanpour. I have always liked her ever
since I saw her on CNN when I was 14 years old... Could you
tell me something... anything about her? I'm sure you've met
her in person, right? Because you're officemates, right?"

And she looked like she was taken aback but she answered
me anyway and said: "Oh... she's a really good person to
work with... actually, a hard person to work with but good
with her job and she's very smart. She just had a baby..."

And tactless me went: "Ooohh... you mean she still had
time to have a baby? But she seemed like she's always
everywhere at once..."

Luckily, she didn't think I was this weirdo from
Mars and she just laughed and said "Yeah... she's
based in London, mostly."

Mind you, I do not go gaga over actors and actresses who
drop by the office for photo shoots... (I think I will though if I
meet Nicole Kidman in person)... but with anything or anyone
remotely connected with Christiane Amanpour, I start acting
like somebody I don't even want to be associated with.
Hehehe :) Crazy, huh?!
