She gave us the title, but not a release date, and this is what I find so frustrating. It's the same scenario as in the fifth book. She gave the title before it was released more than two years later. Okay, every Harry Potter fan knows that I'm talking about the release of the sixth installment, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." I think millions of people worldwide are waiting with bated breaths for this book (me included). I for one want my questions answered...I waited years for my questions to be answered when I first read the first book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone." "Why did Voldemort want to kill Harry?"; "Why does Snape treat Harry like he's his mortal enemy?"; "Why does Voldemort fear Dumbledore?"; "Why didn't Voldemort die when he cast that spell on Harry and it backfired on him?"....those questions were finally answered in book five, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." And yet, even in book five, more questions have mounted in my head which is now making me very impatient to get my hands on the next book. "What exactly was that thing Sirius had fallen into?"; "Why didn't Dumbledore kill Voldemort when he had the chance?"; "Will Harry finally notice Ginny and treat her as girlfriend material?" (yes, I'm all for a Harry-Ginny tandem); "When will Ron and Hermione finally get together and have a date, as in a real date?"; "What will happen to Percy's estranged relationship with his family?"; "Since it was said in the prophecy that either Harry or Voldemort will die since one cannot live while the other is alive, then who will die in the last book?"; "How did the kids fare in their OWLs?"... and so on and so forth. Oh and, just to make a little detour, my favorite of all the Harry Potter books is "The Prisoner of Azkaban"....after reading the book, i got teary-eyed. "The Chamber of Secrets" was fascinating, that's the book when I first started thinking of a Harry-Ginny thingy. :) After reading the news online that the title of the new book would be the Half Blood Prince.... the top question that came to my head (as, I'm sure, everyone else's) is "Who is the half blood prince?" J. K. Rowling said it's neither Harry nor Voldemort (a.k.a. Tom Riddle).... so who is it? If there are some people out there who know the answer to this question, or just have hints to this question, please try and tell me about it. Thanks heaps!!! :) |
